The Government of Mozambique approved in June 2009, the Strategy for Integrated Development of the Transport System, aimed at developing transport systems, interconnected or combined that are sufficiently competitive, engaging and sustainable to facilitate investment, leading to regional economic integration and expand the development opportunities while responding to the change of nature and to adopt the use of more efficient forms of energy.
The vision of long-term strategy is to exploit the advantages of each mode (Maritime, Rail, Road and Air), to extend consumer choice, for cheaper transportation in an integrated and complementary system
